Dues Structure for the Michigan Production Alliance

Membership dues are currently the MPA's sole source of fundraising to pay for our lobbying efforts, public relations efforts and any miscellaneous costs incurred in our operations. All membership levels are invited to observe our monthly board meetings as well as any other news materials as distributed throughout the year.

Corporate Membership

This entitles board election voting rights to one representative per Company/Organization, or individual who has joined the MPA at this level. Corporate Members are also eligible to be elected to committee chair positions by the MPA board.

"Company/Organization" is defined as having three or more employees or members of a company or organization. Dues for a company/organization are $90 per year and allows 4 entries to events and a banner ad on our website.

Individual or Supporting Membership

"Individuals" are defined as single individuals or small businesses with two (2) or less employees. Dues for an individual member at this level are $50 per year.

This provides the full benefits of individual membership with the exception that supporting members are not eligible to vote or run for board seats. Supporting members include members of Unions such as SAGAFTRA, IATSE, IBEW. Those wishing to chair a committee must report directly to a specified board member on a regular basis. Dues for supporting members are $50 per person per year.

Student or Union Membership

Provides the full benefits of supporting membership members of unions such as IATSE, SAG/AFTRA, IBEW, TEAMSTERS as well as students. Students must be currently enrolled in an educational institution in order to apply for membership. Union members may be asked to show their membership cards. Dues for Union members and Students are $35 per person per year.

Membership renewals are sent out annually by the website with thirty (30) days notice. Memberships are suspended when dues are unpaid as of their renewal date and taken off of the MPA membership roster when sixty (60) days past due.
