2014 March Milken Institute report for CA:

600 memorial

In solidarity with IATSE International 600 and on the heels of word about the death of a 2nd assistant camera operator (indicated in earlier posts) MPA wants to make clear that in our entry level boot camp we stress safety. Safety in getting to and from missions, safety around the set and of course safety around YOU!. People are sometimes hesitant to point out issues for fear of their jobs. Going up the chain of command is the key to getting it right and safe set, stage, and location work can be safe. Think about the situations you have found yourself in. How lucky you were in making it OUT safely and how it could have been different so easily. MPA believes we can be effective AND Safe.

A tribute blog
